Houve algum, pouco romance, pouco sexo, e muitos relacionamentos engraçados.
Boas Leituras!
Goodreads Review
Third time is a charm, and I should be heading back to Dune, but decided to read another romance instead. 2022 is turning out pretty similar to the final quarter of 2021, filled with chick lit. Hey, whatever rocks my boat, right? But I did not waste my time reading this one.
Nina Hill, the title lady, works in a bookshop and books are her favourite thing. She’s living the dream, surrounded by bookshelves. Her mother was mostly absent from her childhood, and she never knew who her father was. She does weekly quizz competitions on bars with her group of friends. She leads a quite life in LA. Suddenly, her father dies and she inherits a very big family that she didn’t even knew existed. This is what kickstarts the story, and even though there’s a romance somewhere, it is not the most important part of this story.
I really enjoyed this story, the pace, the family dynamics, the humour. It was a breath of fresh from all the previous romances I’ve read. We again have a protagonist that suffers from anxiety and the way it was portrayed was very interesting. I could relate so much with some of her difficulties and weird situations she put herself into due to that. There was some romance, but not much, some sex, but not much, and lots of funny little stories.
I recommend it to all romance lovers, people that like a funny story, well told, with loads of bookish content.
And now, finally, back to Dune. Until then, Happy Reading!
